Verbal Croquis told you last month about the design contest sponsored by Bacardi and The Daily MINI called “Express Your Style”; Saturday had been the deadline to enter. Today’s press release extends the deadline to February 16th and reiterates that five finalists will be chosen to come to New York in March. The winner gets $5000, an internship at Hollywould, a portfolio review from 24/Seven and an editorial spread in the MINI. Clicking on the big yellow ad below gets you a pdf with the rules and regulations. From the press release:

Here’s your chance to gain exposure within the illustrious fashion community: enter the “Express Your Style” Competition, brought to you by the fashion folks at the Daily MINI and Bacardi LIMON! Send in your sketches of a Bacardi LIMON-themed cocktail outfit, inspired by the glitz and glamour of nightlife, for the chance to be selected for a live cut-and-sew showdown in NYC. A panel of celebrity fashion judges will select one grand prize winner to receive $5000 cash, an internship at Hollywould, and an editorial feature in the MINI! Just pull out your sketchbook and whip up a fabulous frock for a night out on the town. Enter once, enter thrice…you only increase your chances of winning by sending in multiple entries. Sketches are due by February 16, so don’t delay! Hope to see you at the live final judging…

I am so sad that you have to be 25. I will be 25 in April, 1 month after the contest!
Thanks for sharing this, I will tell all my ‘older’ friends.
