One of the shows producers provided errata for this post and adds that the event will be held at the Boston Museum of Science.
Rachel Sleight designed this paper wedding dress for “Design Mart”, an exhibit recently held at the London Design Museum. Inspired by the beauty of origami, the dress is also environmentally sound-it packs flat for shipping and can be recycled when all used up. Brilliant, since most wedding dresses-elaborate and expensive as they are–are a one-wear deal. It’s a bit farfetched, but we like the concept.

hi, i am one of the producers for the seamless fashion show in boston. thanks so much for blogging about it!
just a clarification: the show will be on wednesday february 1 (not feb 2) at the boston museum of science.
hope some of you can make it! we’re actually featuring a wedding gown piece as well called (ready for this?) “iDo.” :)
