I read your book and this posting.I really confused.I work as a freelance pattern maker and normally the style numbers I got are from my clients. I don&#039;t issue style number but on the pattern cards I do number each pattern start from number 1 always,ie. men&#039;s sweater style number 110-220
#1/ Front QTY. 1 
#2/ Back  QTY. 1
#3/ cuff  QTY. 2
#4/  ....
