I’m going to start a reality show about designers where all they do is sit in cubicles making tech packs and drinking coffee. The winner gets a full-time job with medical benefits and 1 week paid vacation per year to start for 42K$(USD) per year. Also, the winner gets a free copy of Kathleen’s book so while they’re saving money at the corporate design job to start their own business, they can learn how to do it with less risk and not end up like a Project Runway winner. http://nymag.com/fashion/07/spring/28148/

LOL. Yup, being a reality star of Project Runway doesn’t seem to pay the rent. I wonder if any of them have had any success. If anyone has, I bet it was Laura because she knew her market and makes the clothes they want and can afford.

Over at Project Rungay, they gushed over Laura selling out over and over on QVC. Not my shopping scene, but she does seem to be figuring out the puzzle of producing and selling better than others off the show. She seemed to have practicallity on her side coming from an architecture background, and of course, maturity as well.
