Well, I decided to pass on the Dallas meeting of this same weekend due to competitive pressures, e.g. the 7th annual Taos Solar Music Festival (those of you who think I take things entirely too seriously should be overjoyed). The concert’s venue is the Solar Stage which is powered entirely by the sun through the use of photovoltaic panels. With my politics, this isn’t an event I’m likely to miss besides, there’s very few places I can wear tie-dyed bias-cut silk dresses. I think Vionnet would be amused as much by me as by the ingenuinity of those in quest of sustainable energy. For example, here is a utility sculpture called the Solar Tree:

Other than traditional hotels and B&B’s, camping is available for a flat rate with transportation to the concert site at Kit Carson Park in downtown Taos, New Mexico. Btw, Taos is hailed as the Solar capital of the world by official proclamation. I’d be thrilled to see you there too.
