Note: I've done some re-organizing in the forum this morning. It will take several days to finish the job but do not hesitate to post wherever it makes most sense to you. Here is a rundown:
We now have three separate sections with new subfolders to better represent the trifecta of manufacturing, namely:
1. Product Development (design)
2. Sales and Marketing
3. Production, Fulfillment and Management
Each section is its own folder now with subtopics reorganized or newly created too. For example, we had a generic software folder which had everything from CAD to PLM, shopping carts etc. We have enough posts in software to split them up according to the three categories. For example: Topics posted previously to the generic software folder have been reorganized like so:
CAD pattern software topics are found in product development > CAD pattern software.
Shopping Cart (software) will be found in sales and marketing > ecommerce & shopping carts.
PLM (product mgmt software) will be in the production folder >software.
There are also a few new folders. For example, to request feedback on different retailers so you can hopefully avoid selling to someone who doesn't pay. Alternatively, you can say which accounts are really great, who you wouldn't sell to etc.
The biggest change in this reorganization is the sales and marketing folder, it needed to be its own section for a very long time. It will take me awhile to create different topic areas in that section and sort the posts accordingly.
Your patience is appreciated. In the meantime, use your best judgement on where to post. Some folders are empty or hardly have any posts and this only means I've yet to move stuff into them. _________________ Please don't PM me, use the email button instead. |
